Neta’s Foundation Supports Schools

Nov 15, 2021

In the summer of 2021, my family and I traveled to East Africa to attend the wedding of a family member. The wedding was beautiful, and it was heartwarming to be with family and friends who I don’t get to see very often.

While in Africa, we visited a school that our non-profit, Neta’s Foundation, supports. The students were on break from school, but we did get to tour the campus. The classroom facility is still in need of modern accommodations, such as electricity, running water, and even up-to-date education materials. But I am told that the students are eager to learn, and they are exceling in their studies.

At our Nashville store, A&M Marketplace, we carry apparel and accessories handmade by women business owners in East Africa. We met with some of our suppliers on this trip, and were able to bring back a suitcase full of beautiful new items to sell. When you visit us in Nashville, ask us about the “Handmade in Africa” section of the store.

Our business and our foundation are committed to helping women and girls in East Africa succeed in education and in business. This is why we are working hard to develop brands that will benefit both our customers, the students and our suppliers. When you purchase products from the Neta’s Natural and A&M Marketplace brands, you are also supporting youth education and businesswomen in underserved areas of East Africa. We cannot do this without you, and we thank you for partnering with us.
